DUSIT INTERNATIONAL'S 2007 AWARDS NIGHT SELECTS THE BEST OF THE BESTDusit International's 2008 Leadership Conference has been held this week in conjunction with the relaunch of Dusit Thani Manila, now undoubtedly Manila's most elegant and sophisticated hotel, located in the heart of the Central Business District. The company's General Managers and senior leaders gathered in Manila to strategize the exciting future and prepare for the impressive expansion plans for the company. It was also an opportunity to celebrate the success of 2007 and recognise the best practices within the company. The 2007 Gold Award for the best hotel performance was conferred on Dusit Thani Dubai, the Silver Award went to Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket and the Bronze Award was conferred on Dusit Princess Korat. Senior Vice President, Mr Octavio Gamarra said "The Awards celebrated our hotel's KPI successes including the financial, customer service and REVPAR performances and whilst Dusit Thani Dubai has been faced with strong competition in its marketplace, under the leadership of General Manager, Mr Doug King, they continued to improve and finished the year with a record result in its 7 year history". Mr Gamarra added "With the new openings this year in the Middle East including our first Dusit Residence at Dubai Marina and Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo, Dusit Thani Dubai's successes will augur well for the company's newest properties in this region".
